About Me
Hi, I’m Payton Treinen—a pharmacist with over five years of experience and a student instructor in the Marquette Method of Natural Family Planning (NFP). I’ve personally used the Marquette Method for two years and am passionate about its unique blend of science and faith in understanding fertility.
As both a healthcare professional and a teacher at heart, I’m dedicated to helping women and couples understand their God-given gift of fertility and use that knowledge to achieve their family planning goals. Becoming an instructor allows me to combine my love for education with my commitment to supporting others on their journey.
What is the Marquette Method?
NFP in general is a science-based approach to understanding fertility and using that knowledge to achieve or avoid pregnancy. It involves observing and tracking biological markers to monitor ovulation.
The Marquette Method in particular is a specific model of NFP developed and taught by certified healthcare professionals. This method primarily relies on monitoring urinary hormone levels using at-home fertility monitors to accurately identify a woman’s fertile window.
In addition to hormone tracking, Marquette Method instructors are also trained to teach cervical mucus and basal body temperature observations. These additional biomarkers can be used to supplement hormone data, offering a comprehensive and individualized approach to fertility awareness. The Marquette Method is evidence-based and designed to provide women and couples with a clear and effective way to work with and embrace their fertility.
